Recently a preschool teacher friend, Melanie Milburn, published her first children's book entitled I Love You More...Than Chocolate. Melanie is also an award winning song writer. The book is accompanied by a CD of her singing the story. My preschoolers have been going crazy for this book and song ever since I first had them listen to it. It is the most popular request during circle time. As part of our Mother's Day celebration, we have invited Melanie to our classroom to put on a concert for the preschool and kindergarten mothers at our school.
To accompany flowers that we have been growing for our mothers, we have been working on our very own I Love You More...Than Chocolate books. Each child illustrated and dictated the words for their three page book. (Typically I would've had higher level students write their own words but due to time constraints this week, I chose to write them down for them.)
